Founded in 1982, Operation Smile is an international medical organization dedicated to providing safe, high-quality and free surgeries for children who are born with cleft lips, cleft palates and facial deformities from underprivileged and remote areas around the world. With 38 years of expertise, we have been serving more than 308,000 patients in more than 60 countries with teams of medical and non-medical volunteers worldwide. Since 1991, co-founder of Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation, Professor Alice Chiu paved the way for Operation Smile to perform countless medical mission in different provinces of China with her 28 years of experience in supporting more than 30,000 children to regain confidence and hope through restoring their smiles.
