In cooperation with several hospitals from different provinces and cities of China, Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation has performed regular visits and free medical screenings to local elementary schools and kindergartens. The program ensures children with Amblyopia or other related eye diseases have access to fair screening and well-timed surgical treatments, and to be diagnosed at their early age. The free screening has been conducted in various regions of China, including Zhejiang, Inner Mongolia, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Harbin, Chengdu, Daqing, Anning, Nanning, Zhongshan, Haikou, Tianjin, Jiangmen, Handan, Ganzhou, etc. More than 1,000 children with Amblyopia or eye diseases from the underprivileged families are treated and served every year.
